shashikantbhai MEHTA
Shashikantbhai Mehta was born in Burma, Rangoon. When he was two years old, one Buddhist Lama came to their home for Bhiksha, who after observing his forehead, told that after growing up this child will become ‘Rajarshi’ – the king or the preacher, which came out to be true afterwards.
At the age of 10 years, he with his parents and elder sister Ansuya, shifted to their native place, Vankaner – India to meet his eldest sister Surajben, who was residing here with her grandparents. His younger brother Mahendra was born here at Vankaner after returning from Rangoon. Completing school years, this young fellow went to study B.A. (with English) in Mumbai at Wilson College. He took an active part in freedom fighting movement as well.
